Website domains for governments and governmental bodies at all levels.
Websites for non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and non-profit, civil society organizations which operate independent of government to address specific issues or causes.
Mainstream Media (CA)
Media organizations that report on news, issues and events at local, provincial, national and international levels. Includes domains owned and operated by news and media organizations listed at News Media Canada, the Canadian Association of Broadcasters and Magazines Canada.
Registered and eligible political parties and candidates at the federal level in Canada. Includes domains owned by Canadian political parties as listed by Elections Canada.
Includes websites that don’t fit into any other category, or that have not yet been categorized.
Websites with content that includes articles and reporting on news, issues and events. Partisan sites are often rooted in a particular political or ideological point of view and can appear similar to mainstream media.
Redirects are URL shortener for long web links. These URL shorteners redirect users to a variety of websites (including those that might be more appropriately categorized in one of our other link categories.) Once a domain has been labelled as a redirect, it will be counted as the url it redirects to.
